Responsibilities
- Device Management:
- Administer and manage user devices using Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, Microsoft SCCM, and other relevant tools.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain device policies, configurations, and applications across various operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
- Patch Management:
- Develop and implement patch management strategies to ensure timely updates and security patches across all devices.
- Perform security risk and impact analysis for patches and updates to assess potential vulnerabilities and implications.
- Monitor and manage patch deployment, compliance, and effectiveness using available management tools.
- Software Packaging and Deployment Testing:
- Create, test, and deploy software packages using tools such as Microsoft SCCM and VMware Workspace ONE.
- Conduct thorough testing of software packages and updates to ensure compatibility, functionality, and stability before deployment.
- Review and manage software versioning to ensure that deployments align with organizational standards and requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software deployment and ensure smooth rollout of applications.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security policies to protect organizational data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability management to address potential risks.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide advanced support for device-related issues, including configuration, application management, and policy enforcement.
- Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve complex technical problems and enhance overall user experience.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for device management processes, policies, and procedures.
- Analyze data related to device management, patch compliance, and software deployment.
- Generate and review detailed reports on device status, patch compliance, software deployment, and system health.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and effective presentations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to device management, software packaging, and security.
- Recommend and implement improvements to device management and software deployment strategies and processes.
- Collaboration:
- Work with other IT teams to ensure alignment on technology strategies and resolve cross-functional issues.
- Provide training and support to team members and end-users on device management tools and best practices.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration or engineering, with a focus on user device management and software packaging.
- Proficiency in device management tools such as Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, and Microsoft SCCM.
- Strong experience in software packaging, deployment testing, and software versioning review.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) and their management requirements.
- Experience with patch management processes, security risk analysis, and impact assessment.
- Proficiency in data analysis, report generation, and presentation.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and custom configurations.
- Relevant certifications are highly desirable, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
Shortlisted candidates will be offered a 1 year agency contract employment.
