Responsibilities
- Perform strategic and ad-hoc analysis in support of product team members such as: product managers and planners, engineers, UX, design and to a lesser extent marketing team members including content strategists and marketing automation specialist
- Develop dashboards and define metrics that inform success for the Product Team
- Identify opportunities in data to accelerate product adoption, retention and engagement
- Help design, execute and evaluate A/B tests to improve the user journey
- Explain trends across data sources, potential opportunities for growth or improvement, and data caveats for descriptive, diagnostic, predictive (including forecasting), and prescriptive data projects
- Explore large, complex, and loosely defined datasets to create actionable insights
- Provide direction for the overall data strategy such as automating the handling of product usage data collection, PDPA compliance of data under management, cookie and privacy management, experimentation tools, A/B testing, etc. which may include working through vendors’ data teams to execute on the strategy
- Operate in an iterative mindset, focused on delivering improvements and value
- Act as a trusted voice of product data and insights in meetings and presentations
Requirements
- 8+ years of data analysis experience, leveraging descriptive and predictive data techniques
- 4+ years of experience focused on feature and usage metrics, A/B testing, conversion and retention, segmentation, and developing user archetypes and their usage patterns
- 2+ years of experience supporting product teams
- 2+ years of experience uncovering data insights to form hypothesis, designing product experiments, evaluating results and making recommendations
- Experience working with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Heap or equivalent is paramount
- Advanced Level SQL
- Advanced BI dashboard development using Tableau or Power BI
- Effective communication skills: Regularly achieve consensus with peers, explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and provide clear status updates
- Bonus: Experience using Python and R for analysis
- Bonus: Experience with Qualtrics to establish customer feedback loops will be beneficial
- Bonus: Familiarity with the marketing analytics capabilities offered by content management system vendors such as Adobe Analytics, Sitecore Experience Analytics, or similar
