Responsibilities
• Provision and configure virtual machines following defined build standards and processes
• Manage hypervisor clusters — HA, DRS, vMotion, resource pools, snapshots and vCenter RBAC
• Administer Windows Server and Linux OS — configuration, patching and CIS hardening
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, SSH keys and certificate lifecycle
• Configure and maintain vSwitch, VLAN and virtual network settings within the hypervisor environment
• Build and maintain OS images and manage PXE-based re-imaging pipelines
• Configure and maintain system services, scheduled tasks, file sharing, print server and SFTP infrastructure
• Maintain security posture — endpoint protection, firewall rules and compliance policy enforcement
• Deploy and maintain log collection agents across the server fleet
• Manage disk partitions, volumes, filesystems and storage capacity.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and maintain operational runbooks and documentation
• Respond to and resolve infrastructure incidents within agreed service levels
• Participate in change management and peer review of technical changes
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing enterprise virtualization platforms and supporting large-scale virtualized infrastructure environments.
- Strong expertise in hypervisor administration, including cluster management, high availability (HA), resource optimization, virtual networking, and virtual machine lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience administering Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including configuration, patching, hardening, user access management, and security compliance.
- Experience managing virtual infrastructure components such as vSwitches, VLANs, storage, filesystems, OS image management, and PXE-based deployment solutions.
- Familiarity with infrastructure security controls, including endpoint protection, firewall configuration, certificate management, and compliance enforcement.
- Experience deploying and maintaining system monitoring and log collection solutions across server environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and operational support skills with the ability to resolve infrastructure issues within defined service levels.
- Knowledge of automation, scripting, and infrastructure operational best practices, including documentation, runbook maintenance, change management, and peer review processes.
