Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IoT/OT and edge systems for environmental monitoring 
• Integrate sensors, gateways, and edge devices with backend platforms using protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, RabbitMQ, HTTPS REST APIs, CoAP 
• Perform hardware–software integration, system testing, and validation 
• Create and execute unit, integration, and system test cases 
• Conduct impact analysis for change requests (e.g. sensor upgrades, additional parameters) 
• Develop and maintain hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting documentation 
• Support edge computing frameworks (e.g. AWS IoT Greengrass, Azure IoT Edge) 
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across sensors, edge devices, and communication layers 
• Apply cybersecurity best practices for edge devices and OT environments 
• Work closely with cloud, frontend, and stakeholder teams to ensure end-to-end system reliability 
• Engage end users to gather feedback and ensure solutions meet operational needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or equivalent 
• At least 2 years of experience in sensor-related or IoT/OT systems in production environments
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience integrating IoT devices and sensors 
• Proficiency in C++, Python, Java, .NET, or similar languages 
• Experience with: 

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
