Responsibilities

Strong skills in Oracle/MS-SQL/MySQL database administration supporting large database environments.
Proficient in Database installation, configuration on UNIX (Solaris & AIX) / Linux / Windows platforms.
Experience in Database High Availability setup using Oracle RAC/Dataguard, SQL Server
Failover Cluster/AlwaysOn Availability Groups, MySQL InnoDB Cluster/NDB Cluster.
Good database performance tuning, troubleshooting skills and locating bottlenecks at both server and database level.
Experience in database install, upgrade, plan and execute critical database migration using Oracle Goldengate/Shareplex.
Familiar with database partitioning design, TDE encryption and implementing security standards to secure critical environments.
Well versed with Database optimizer changes, database internals and troubleshoot production issues.
Covering all administrative tasks, such as planning and building new database servers, ASM disk management, backup and restore, user account and data security management, capacity planning.
Disaster Recovery implementations based on Oracle Dataguard. Work with infrastructure team on upgrades, patching and resolution of cross functional issues.
Participate in system audits, adhere to the internal security standards.
Knowledge on Oracle JDBC, ODP.Net, UCP, TAF, FCF and MySQL Connectors.
Provide deployment support for database objects in production and UAT environments.
Provide 24x7 production database support and willing to work after office hours / weekends.
Experienced with standard database monitoring tools.
Good communication and presentation skills and be able to interact with multiple teams at various levels.

Requirements

Degree/ Computer Science / Computer Engineering in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Equivalent.
Min 2 years of experience working as production database administration supporting Oracle,
SQL Server and MySQL databases. Good skills in unix shell scripting and Oracle PL/SQL programming.

Desired skills: Oracle certification - OCP on Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c preferred.

Shortlisted candidates will be offered a 1 Year Agency Contract employment.
