Responsibilities
• Lead, plan, and manage application development activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including offshore development teams
• Provide regular status updates to the Project Manager regarding assigned tasks and overall progress
• Actively engage with customers to clarify business requirements and create high-level application design documentation
• Take ownership of issue resolution including investigation, defect fixing, testing, and release management
• Collaborate with offshore teams to address change requests by understanding customer expectations and defining suitable implementation approaches
• Conduct reviews of deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with business needs
• Provide post-implementation support for incidents, queries, and clarifications related to the system
• Technical Architecture creation & review
• Proposal creation
Requirements
• Bachelor of Computer science with 5+ years of experience as an application developer
• 5+ years of experience in requirements gathering and technical design specification
• Proven experience in leading development teams
• Hands-on experience throughout the full software development life cycle (SDLC) using the Waterfall model
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills
• Practical experience in application development using Java
• Knowledge of server infrastructure, Oracle databases (Can use SQL Developer to access DB, check data, and execute SQL statements), and application servers (e.g., WebSphere, JBoss)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience managing offshore teams
• Strong understanding ability
• Mandatory Strong knowledge/Experience in XML parsing.
• Mandatory Strong Knowledge of Java Web service (SOAP and REST). Understanding of WSDL Structure (Interpretation / Creation).
• Strong Understanding of Project Building Tools (Maven/Ant).
• Prior experience in banking domain projects
• Familiarity with core banking systems
• Experience in greenfield (from-scratch) development
• Experience working with Japanese banks or Japanese-oriented organizations
• Knowledge of IT security standards, compliance, and best practices.
• Knowledge/Experience in SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and Implementation.
• Knowledge of ESB Oriented Solution (Good to have knowledge of Mule Soft ESB or any other ESB Product).
• Knowledge/ Experience of Application Integration (Data /API etc.)
• Experience in Oracle Database Objects (e.g. Stored Procedure, Materialized View, Packages, understand Oracle User, Role, System Privilege, Object Privilege, Synonym, etc.)
Shortlisted candidate will be offered a 1 Year agency contract employment.
