Maintain and implement quality programs for project activities to meet quality objectives and goals.
Review technical drawings and finalize baseline documents to ensure the correct set of drawings is used for product fabrication or amendments.
Conduct incoming inspections for COTS items or any first-arrival items to ensure quality products are received from suppliers before assembly.
Perform in-process inspections at vendors’ sites during the manufacturing phase, including sampling checks of finished products, and halt production if non-conformance is detected.
Inspect metalwork installations on-site to ensure workmanship complies with SS638 standards and meets customer requirements.
Conduct modular or internal tests (Pre-FAT/SAT/ITC) at company premises, vendor locations, or on-site for assembled equipment or systems before customer acceptance testing.
Participate in customer acceptance tests such as FAT/SAT/ITC, address quality-related issues, and document feedback to prevent recurrence in final deliveries.
Initiate actions to prevent nonconformities related to processes and the quality system.
Identify and record any issues related to processes and the quality system for the project.
Recommend and implement solutions to process quality problems through designated channels.
Verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions for identified issues.
Ensure timely completion of corrective actions for deficiencies found during audits.
Participate in continuous improvement programs related to processes and the quality system.
Perform any other related duties or ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Should have a strong Electrical/Mechanical engineering background and preferably prior experience working in a QA environment.
Must possess at least a diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with preferably a minimum of 1 year of experience in a project and production environment.
Report directly to the Project QAM and assist in all QA/QC activities during project implementation.
Willing to travel locally for various QA/QC activities during project installation and production phases. Occasional on-site support outside regular office hours may be required.
Demonstrates good leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proactive and attentive to process control in order to detect any non-conformance early and drive continual improvement.
Knowledge of relevant standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and SS638 will be an added advantage.
Possesses strong data analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative) and demonstrates sound judgment in decision-making.
