Responsibilities

  • Lead QA Strategy & Execution – Define, implement, and drive the overall QA strategy, ensuring delivery of high-quality software that meets business and technical requirements.
  • Manage QA Team – Supervise, mentor, and guide QA Engineers; allocate tasks effectively; and ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Define & Standardize QA Frameworks – Establish testing methodologies, best practices, and automation frameworks to improve efficiency and test coverage.
  • Oversee Test Planning & Execution – Prepare, review, and approve test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to clarify requirements, assess risks, and ensure testability.
  • Defect Management – Ensure defects are logged, tracked, prioritized, and resolved within agreed timelines, providing clear reporting to stakeholders.
  • Drive Test Automation – Promote and manage the adoption of test automation tools and frameworks, ensuring modularity, reusability, and maintainability of test assets.
  • Quality Reporting & Metrics – Prepare and present QA reports, dashboards, and KPIs (e.g., defect density, test coverage, release readiness) to management.
  • Risk & Issue Management – Identify quality risks early, propose mitigation plans, and ensure timely escalation where required.
  • Continuous Improvement – Review and optimize QA processes, tools, and practices to enhance team productivity, test effectiveness, and product quality

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of QA experience, with at least 3-4 years in a lead or senior QA role.
  • Proven expertise in both manual and automation testing across web, mobile, and API layers.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit).
  • Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, ALM).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA processes in iterative development.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and manage QA teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align QA objectives with business goals.
  • ISTQB or equivalent QA/Testing certification (preferred).
