Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Analysis
- Lead the development and execution of annual and long-term strategic planning processes.
- Assess macroeconomic, industry, customer, and competitive trends to identify growth opportunities and risks.
- Support the preparation of senior management strategy presentations.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform line of business (LOB) strategies and overarching business area (BA) strategies.
- Synthesize complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for decision-making.
- Monitor emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and regulatory developments across global markets.
Financial & M&A evaluation
- Partner with finance and business units to align growth initiatives with financial objectives.
- Support M&A evaluations, partnerships, and other inorganic growth initiatives.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with business leaders, finance, sales/BD, marketing, tech & innovation, HR, and operations teams to ensure alignment of strategy and execution.
- Host strategy-related events that require collaboration across multiple stakeholders, internally and externally; Facilitate workshops and strategy sessions to drive cross-LOB, cross-functional input and buy-in
Requirements
- A good bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree will be an advantage.
- 6–10 years of experience in in-house strategic planning / corporate strategy, management consulting, investment, or related fields.
- Proven expertise in:
- Strategic thinking – ability to structure complex problems, identify insights, and propose actionable solutions.
- Analytical skills – strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with data visualization tools.
- Market research – experience with industry analysis, customer insights, and competitive analysis.
- Financial acumen – ability to evaluate financial results, assess business cases, and connect strategy to financial outcomes.
