Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand current architecture state and define new state design targeted information protection requirements, ensuring alignment to key regulations (e.g., GDPR, PDPA) and business drivers.
  • Design high-level and low-level architectures for Microsoft Purview Information Protection across entities and environments, capturing all functional and compliance requirements.
  • Lead the build and configuration of sensitivity labels, policy definitions, auto-labeling, and information rights management controls for Microsoft 365 workloads and on-premises repositories.
  • Engage in comprehensive testing and user acceptance cycles, fine-tuning configurations and policies per real-world feedback and business use cases.
  • Produce comprehensive design documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials; support “train the trainer” sessions and post-deployment.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in data governance and security with strong expertise in Microsoft Purview Information Protection
  • Demonstrable expertise in designing and deploying Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), Purview, AIP, DLP, and related controls across large-scale, multi-entity organizations.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and operationalizing data classification, labeling, and lifecycle management in regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory drivers in the financial sector (GDPR, PDPA, MAS, PCI-DSS, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, PowerShell scripting, and security automation for configuration and ongoing operations.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in agile project settings and interface with business, compliance, and IT stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects and user enablement programs.
  • Mandatory certification: Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate Certificate (SC-400)
  • Relevant certifications such SC-100, CISSP, CISM are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex security incidents
  • Experience with cloud security concepts and Microsoft Azure security services
  • Track record of successful client engagements and project delivery in a consulting environment
