Responsibilities

  • Will lead and manage all the product delivery teams under GCTO Solutions. This includes coaching and mentoring team members that report to them, as well as establishing general standards for all the teams. They will work closely with the Solutions lead to ensure that the technical delivery is of a particular standard.
  • To ensure foundational software development practises are established and maintained by all those that report to them as well as their respective team members.
  • Will coordinate with relevant parties in other divisions(infra/services) as well as vendor/s to create and help manage CI/CD pipeline for Solutions.
  • Will support all ‘to production’ related activities for solutions.
  • Will spend at least 70% of their time on development related work (they will contribute to projects). So, they will have to commit code as well as perform code reviews for their team members.
  • The balance 30% of their time will be spent managing teams and performing senior manager duties relevant to the Solutions division in GCTO.
  • Will need to perform incident mgmt. and root cause analysis for production errors/bugs when required.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and work with Infra/Services to optimise cloud environments for resilience and reliability, ensuring minimal downtime for healthcare services.
  • Collaborate with healthcare IT teams to integrate cloud-based solutions with existing on-premises systems and electronic health records (EHRs).
  • Assist in the architectural diagram and SRB clearance for all cloud solutions in the department.
  • Engage with executive leadership, healthcare providers, data scientists, and engineers to drive AI-enabled transformation.
  • Guide more junior Software engineers in the GCTO team and troubleshoot problems to achieve end goal.
  • Organising our local AI/Tech conferences, showcase AI/capabilities to attract further talents.
  • Work with GCTO leadership team to develop technical roadmaps for AI/tech expansion, keeping in mind emerging technologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor AI/tech adoption metrics, refining strategies based on user feedback and performance analytics.
  • All other responsibilities that are requested by the Reporting Officer
 

Requirements

  • An Honors in a Bachelor of Science from a recognisable university (Computer Science or Field with a strong science/technical background e.g. Math, Physics or Engineering specialities).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in tech delivery
  • Have experience working with and coordinating with multiple development teams.
  • At least 7 years of working experience with DevOps team/s working with AWS/Azure/Alibaba/Google Cloud.
  • Working experience with on prem teams is a desirable bonus.
  • Have at least 7 years of experience working with Docker.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience with Kubernetes.
  • Has been a full stack engineer for at least 10 years.
  • At least 10 years of experience in C#/ Java
  • At least 7 years of experience with Python
  • At least 7 years of experience with front end; Reach, Angular.
  • Mobile experience is a welcome bonus.
  • Must have experience with Data Visualisation tools e.g. Grafana, Tableau, PowerBI
  • Have experience with executing working in both Waterfall (Traditional project management) as well as Agile (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Must have experience with event driven/messaging systems/event brokers: Kafka, RabbitMQ. 
  • At least 3 years of experience with Kafka.
  • Must have experience working with LLMs technologies.
  • Must have experience working on Machine Learning projects.
  • Experience in Healthcare would be a bonus but having experience in verticals touching relevant needs such as Data Visualisation, Machine Learning, LLMs and full stack application development built for cloud would be desired as well.
  • Strong written and verbal English; will be required for effective communications with not just the technical teams, but also with stakeholders within GCTO and beyond.
