Responsibilities
Application Development:
- Design, build, and deploy Workday Extend applications tailored to business needs.
- Develop reusable, modular components following Workday best practices and security standards.
Collaboration & Requirements Gathering:
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze functional and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical design documents and actionable development tasks.
Integration & Connectivity:
- Integrate Workday Extend applications with other Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Financials) and external systems via Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs).
- Collaborate with integration teams to ensure end-to-end data flow and process automation.
Testing & Deployment:
- Conduct thorough unit testing and participate in system and user acceptance testing.
- Support deployment activities, including migration to production and post-deployment validation.
Monitoring & Support:
- Monitor application performance and provide ongoing support, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with Workday’s latest features, updates, and Extend capabilities.
- Propose and implement continuous improvement ideas to optimize Workday solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience with Workday, including:
- Workday Extend application development
- Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, and integration tools
- Proficiency in XML, XSLT, JSON, and REST/SOAP APIs
- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming concepts and secure coding principles
Preferred Qualifications:
• Workday certifications in Extend, Integration, or Studio
• Experience with Workday HCM and/or Financials configuration and security
• Familiarity with Workday Reporting and calculated fields
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using JIRA or ServiceNow for development and ticket tracking
Shortlisted candidates will be offered a 1 Year Agency Contract employment
