Responsibilities

Update network diagrams and documentation for design and planning of network communication systems
Determine impact of network requirements on existing architecture, work processes and systems
Participate in technical design reviews of applicable solutions
Optimise Network Utilisation & Performance
Consolidate network data based on key parameters or metrics
Assist in the development of capacity planning models, load-balance and/or redundancy solutions
Administer tuning of firewall rules for optimisation
Review facility bandwidth requirements and system inter-dependencies
Document network security activities in accordance with organisational policies
Monitor network activity and log technical issues
Maintain awareness of emerging software and/or hardware solutions
Conduct regular maintenance, patches and upgrades to the network
Prepare technical specifications and documents to procure network equipment
Perform routine backups and administer disaster recovery protocols
Assist in the development of disaster recovery plans
Monitor indicators of compromise or breach in network security
Track and document network security incidents
Configure network security across software and/or hardware components
Coordinate and configure network access and controls
Classify and prioritise network incidents for troubleshooting
Document network incidents and resolution methods
Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network issues

Requirements

Bachelor in Computer Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience
CCIE preferred, min CCNP Certified
Able to handle configuration, troubleshooting, capacity planning
Familiar with Automation Tools: Python, ansible (automation scripting)
Network Infrastructure & Hardware: 5+ years experience managing large enterprise network with a strong focus on Palo Alto, Cisco, and CheckPoint Technology. – Can look for very strong firewall profiles!
Network Devices: In-depth knowledge and proficiency with firewalls and proxy while switches, load balancers, routers, and ISE are good to have – needs to do hands on technical support too!
Network Design & Troubleshooting: Expertise in designing, monitoring, and network & incident management (LAN, WAN, VPN).
Must be comfortable with night activities/ weekends / shift work when required

Shortlisted candidate will be offered a 1 Year agency contract employment.
